
How do I access my personal
portfolio?
If you joined InvestorPlace.com, or any of the Phillips investment
newsletter web sites, by registering through XOOM, the procedure for
accessing your personal portfolio has changed. If this is the FIRST TIME
you have accessed your personal portfolio since the change (September 1999),
please follow these procedures this one time only.
- Click on "My Portfolio" from the top navigation bar on any
InvestorPlace.com page.
- Click on the green button that says, "Members log-in."
- Click once more where it says, "Attention XOOM-registered users..." You
will then be asked to enter your XOOM user name and password, then re-enter
your password for confirmation. Also, click in the box that says "portfolio
e-mail" if you receive a daily personal portfolio update by e-mail. Push
"submit."
- You will then be able to access your portfolio. (Some XOOM members will
be required to modify their user name and/or password in order to access the
portfolio. If so, please note that this user name and password will be used
each time you wish to view your portfolio. When you wish to view the other
areas of the newsletter web site, you will be asked to enter your OLD XOOM
user name and password, not the one you use to access your portfolio.)
- On subsequent visits to your portfolio, do NOT enter again by clicking
"Attention XOOM registered users." Instead, simply enter your user name and
password where it says "LOGIN" and "PASSWORD."
I'm a Xoom member who created a personal portfolio that I can't access any
longer because of changes to your procedures. What can I do?
We are moving all of our web sites to another server, which is good news for
you because you eventually will no longer have to enter a XOOM user name and
password. In the interim, however, we have had to make changes to the way
you access your personal portfolio. Some users now have to enter their
original XOOM user name and password to access their newsletter web sites,
but enter a somewhat different user name or password to access their
personal portfolios. Users who were affected include those whose original
XOOM user names were longer than 10 characters, and those whose passwords
were shorter than six characters.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but very shortly the original XOOM
member name and password will not be required. In the meantime, if you
cannot access your portfolio, first make sure that you are entering the
correct user name and password. If you don't know your user name or
password, click here, enter your email address where it says, "Forgot your log-in or password?" and push
"go." You will receive your information in your e-mail shortly.
If you still can't access your portfolio and you KNOW you are entering the
correct user name and password, please contact customer service and we'll be glad to help.
