Thirty-five years ago we began as an investment newsletter publisher looking for self-directed individual investors. Our goal was to connect world-class investment advice with investors who wanted great leadership and direction. Our mission is to help those same investors reach their financial dreams. We are proud to say that our goal and mission is still the same today.

Some things, though, have changed. We started off with just a few investment services. Today we bring you over 15 leaders in investment advice and more than 35 services. Our services now range from investing in value stocks and mutual funds to growth stocks, options and international portfolios. And, we have grown from a print publisher to a multimedia business where you can watch, listen, and read what our advisors have to say.

More recently we have created services for institutional research, and added important messages and buying opportunities from our sponsors and advertisers.

InvestorPlace Media is privately owned by Avista Capital Partners. Our main headquarters is in Rockville, Md, just outside Washington, D.C.

Management Team:

John Coyle, Chief Executive Officer - Mr. Coyle earned a BS in Accounting from Providence College. He joined InvestorPlace Media (formerly known as Phillips) in 1995 as Senior Vice President and was promoted to President of Phillips Investment Resources in 1999. Prior to joining IPM, he served as Executive Vice President and head of business and European operations for Congressional Quarterly, Inc. Mr. Coyle is currently affiliated with the Institute of Directors (London), YouthTrac Foundation, Victory Youth Centers, and the Georgetown Preparatory School Trustees.

David Bishop, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer - Mr. Bishop graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Commerce. He began his career with InvestorPlace Media (formerly known as Phillips) in 1991 as a Financial Analyst in the Finance and Administrative Division. After other promotions within this group, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 1997, and Vice President of Planning and Analysis in 1999. In 2003, Mr. Bishop was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations for the Company. Prior to joining Phillips, he worked as a Loan Review Examiner for Riggs National Bank.

Christopher Marett, Senior Vice President and Senior Group Publisher - Mr. Marett earned his BS in Marketing and MBA in Finance from St. John's University in New York City. He joined InvestorPlace Media (formerly known as Phillips) in 1994 as a Marketing Director. He currently leads the Newsletter Publishing and E-Commerce Groups. Prior to joining Phillips, he was a Product Manager for the Reader's Digest General Book, Music and Video Division, and worked for American Express Merchandise Services.
