New MacBook Line to Debut at WWDC: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will launch an entirely new line of MacBooks positioned between the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air lines, at its Worldwide Developers Conference next week, MacRumors says. The company will also showcase upgrades to existing MacBook and Mac lines at the conference. The new MacBook will be slimmer and lighter than current MacBook Pros, will feature a 13-inch Retina display, and be priced at $1,199, MacRumors says.

iPhone 4S Production Decreases Smaller than Expected: Asian suppliers are not worried about projected order reductions for the current iPhone 4S as Apple prepares for the launch of its next generation iPhone, Apple Insider says. The company is expected to debut a new model iPhone in the fall. Suppliers report that iPhone 4S sales remain strong and production cuts will be smaller than expected. An analysts says the company will sell 30.9 million iPhones during the current quarter, Apple Insider says.

Apple Settles with Australian Regulators Over iPad 4G Claims: Apple will pay $2.23 million in fines as well as $300,000 in legal fees to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to settle complaints arising from advertising that touted the latest iPad’s 4G connectivity, The Australian says. Australian regulators launched an investigation of the claims back in March when consumers complained that the iPad’s 4G connectivity would not work on the country’s LTE networks. In May Apple changed its iPad advertising from “Wi-Fi + 4G” to “Wi-Fi + Cellular,” The Australian noted.
