Apple Is Building a Stand-Alone Camera: Development of sucha a device has been progressing for some time at Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), iLounge.com says. Apple has posted numerous ads seeking employees for camera-related jobs, referencing cameras designed for “standalone peripherals.” The new camera will be released after the Apple-branded TV set — the “iTV” — debuts and will use iCloud to store photos, iLounge notes.

Prepaid iPhone Coming to Sprint’s Boost Mobile in September: Unnamed sources say prepaid iPhones will debut on Sprint‘s (NYSE:S) Boost Mobile network in September, TechnoBuffalo says. The report comes just a day after Cricket Wireless, owned by Leap Wireless (NASDAQ:LEAP) announced that it would offer a prepaid iPhone on its network starting this month. As with Cricket, iPhone 4 and 4S models will be available from Boost Mobile, TechnoBuffalo says.

Apple Will Show Off New Macs and iOS Features at WWDC: An analyst with Sterne Agee ways Apple will unveil its new Maps application for iOS as well as upgrades to its camera apps and Mac line at its Worldwide Developer Conference starting June 11, Apple Insider says. The new Maps application will feature enhanced 3D capability and will replace Google‘s (NASDAQ:GOOG) map program in the back-end of iOS. New Macs to be debuted at the WWDC will feature Intel‘s (NASDAQ:INTC) Ivy Bridge processors and high-resolution Retina displays, Apple Insider notes.
