To the extent money can be a great source of family conflict, members of comic Tracy Morgan’s family appear to be living the dream.
Morgan’s mother, Alicia Warden, says she faces foreclosure on her home, which has a mortgage balance of less than $25,000. Tracy’s younger sister, Asia, adds that her mom, who lost her job in February 2011, is struggling with diabetes.
And “30 Rock” star Tracy, who is worth about $18 million, according to Forbes, has so far offered assistance in the form of a “one-shot deal” of $2,000, according to Warden. In recent comments to the Daily News Gatecrasher gossip column, Asia declares that her 43-year-old brother has “never been a nice person” and that money has “just made it worse.”
Morgan hadn’t yet responded to requests for comment by the News’ publication deadline, Gatecrasher reported. “30 Rock” is a production of NBC, whose NBCUniversal parent is owned by Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) and General Electric (NYSE:GE).
